Meet Kelsey Hall
Kelsey came to Peace Valley Recovery from South Philadelphia and has witnessed the harmful effects of addiction within her own family. She is one of our Primary Therapists and has experience in both inpatient and outpatient care.
Kelsey strives to ensure each client feels understood and valued as she works with them to help them reach their goals. She is an integral part of our treatment team.
Our Outpatient Rehab Programs
Because no two clients are alike, we work hard to recommend the level of care that is right for each of our clients.
We offer two levels of addiction treatment, and each client receives their own tailored treatment plan.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Intensive outpatient care may be appropriate for you if you have completed a residential treatment program and undergone detox.
Our IOP is designed to be flexible for those who work or go to school during the day. This level of treatment is often appropriate for clients who need additional support as they transition out of inpatient programs.
Our IOP involves:
- Either a 3 or 5-day program for 3 hours each day.
- Flexible evening appointment options.
- Group therapy sessions daily.
- Case management services and support.
- 1 individual therapy session per week.
IOP is very easy to fit into your schedule. It will equip you to continue in recovery long-term.
Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP)
Many of our clients have completed a residential program and gone through detox, but they are not ready for IOP.
Additional support is available through our PHP. It offers even more intensive treatment and support to help you stay on track to reach your recovery goals.
Our PHP includes:
- 5 days of programming per week for 6 hours each day.
- 2 individual therapy sessions a week.
- Daily group therapy.
Therapy at Peace Valley Recovery
Providing evidence-based therapy is our specialty. Our therapists offer a wide range of therapy options and personalize each client’s treatment plan to meet their needs.
Your background and history of addiction define the type of therapy that will work best for you.
We offer the following therapy options for our clients:
- EMDR for trauma clients
- Family therapy
- Cognitive behavioral therapy
- Medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
- Treatment for co-occurring disorders
- Holistic therapy options including music, art, and Yoga
Sober Living Availability
Peace Valley Recovery partners with Candor House in Bucks County to offer recovery housing for our clients.
You may want to take advantage of this option for many reasons. Some of our clients don’t live in recovery-minded environments. For them, remaining at home could lead to relapse.
Others may simply not want to make the drive from Toms River to receive the help they need.
Candor House is a beautiful recovery housing facility that offers you additional support as you continue in the healing process.
Does Health Insurance Pay for Rehab?
Yes, your health insurance plan includes benefits for drug and alcohol rehab as a result of the Affordable Care Act.

Outpatient programs like ours are often covered 100%. We would be happy to verify your benefits and inform you of any copays or out-of-pocket costs.

SMART Recovery Meetings in Toms River
Toms River offers a few SMART Recovery meetings each week.
Inpatient Detox and Rehab
We frequently talk with people who have never gone through inpatient treatment. A residential detox and rehab program are vitally important for many reasons.
Detoxing allows your body to adjust when you stop using substances. It helps with withdrawal and can make your symptoms less severe and shorter.
Inpatient rehab offers you a high level of support. The goal is to determine what led to your addiction and address those specific concerns.
Most inpatient programs are 28 days long, but this type of treatment is critical as the first step in your recovery process.
Outpatient Therapy
If a more traditional outpatient therapy environment is appealing to you, Toms River has many options. There are several therapists specializing in addiction recovery counseling.
Your therapist may recommend appointments as often as 3 times per week for individual sessions. Most do not offer group therapy, but attending AA or NA meetings can help in that area.
This level of care is typically not appropriate for people who have never had any professional treatment in the past. But it can work well if you have, and if you have a solid support system at home.
