Our staff members are wholly focused on providing the best substance abuse treatment in the area. They are not only caring and compassionate, but many have experienced addiction first-hand.
Because of that experience, they have a unique understanding of what our clients need during rehab. Their expertise and dedication to meeting our clients where they are are what make Peace Valley Recovery one of the best addiction treatment programs in the area.

Meet Monica Kras
Monica is our Clinical Director, and she is a valued member of the Peace Valley Recovery treatment team. Her background is in social welfare, mental health, and substance abuse treatment.
Monica ensures our clients receive quality care and support. She works with them to normalize and embrace freedom from drugs and alcohol and build a strong recovery foundation.
Our Rehab Programs
We offer two levels of outpatient care for our clients. We understand the importance of personalized care and aim to recommend the appropriate level for each client based on their unique needs.
Partial Hospitalization Program
Our PHP is designed for clients who have completed residential detox and rehab but need the highest level of outpatient support.
Partial hospitalization offers a highly structured program to help clients remain in recovery long-term. Our PHP includes:
- Programming for 5 days each week, 6 hours each day.
- Daily group therapy sessions.
- Individual therapy twice per week.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Intensive outpatient treatment is often the best way for our clients to begin transitioning to their everyday lives after an inpatient stay.
Our IOP offers a flexible solution to intensive addiction treatment. In fact, you can attend your appointments even if you work or attend school during the day.
Our IOP involves:
- Evening appointments for added flexibility.
- Programming 3 or 5 days per week, 3 hours each session.
- Case management support.
- Group therapy daily.
- Individual therapy 1 day per week.
Addiction Recovery Therapy
No two clients are alike. They each have their own needs during rehab and require therapy methods that help them reach their recovery goals.
At Peace Valley Recovery, we prioritize personalized treatment plans for our clients. We believe in evidence-based therapy methods to give them the support they need.
Your treatment plan may involve any of the following types of therapy:
- Medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- EMDR
- Family therapy
- Dual diagnosis treatment
- Holistic therapies (art, Yoga, music, etc.)
Recovery Housing
Many of our Paterson area clients prefer to drive to our facility for their appointments while continuing to live at home. But we recognize that the commute may be too much for some.
If driving would be difficult for you to remain consistent in treatment, we highly recommend taking advantage of our recovery housing option.
Peace Valley Recovery works with Candor House in Bucks County to offer sober living for our clients. Candor House is an upscale, high-quality sober living home where you will get added support.
Insurance Coverage for Addiction Treatment
Your health insurance plan includes benefits to offset the cost of drug and alcohol rehab. We work with clients who pay out-of-pocket as well as with those who have insurance.
Peace Valley Recovery is in-network with our area’s top health insurance providers to make addiction recovery more affordable.
Many of our clients are surprised to find that their plans cover outpatient programs completely.
Our admissions team will talk with you about your coverage and verify your benefits. You’ll know exactly how much you’re responsible to pay before your treatment begins.

Traditional Outpatient Rehab
If our IOP and PHP are not appropriate for your needs, outpatient therapy may be an option to consider.
The Paterson area has several therapists specializing in addiction recovery. Your therapist will likely only offer individual sessions because many do not include group therapy.
You may meet with your therapist 1-3 times per week, depending on your needs.
This level of care is not the right fit for you if you have never gone through a residential treatment program.
Inpatient Drug and Alcohol Treatment
If you are new to recovery – perhaps even still using – and you’ve never been in a residential rehab program, we recommend both detox and rehab. They should be your first steps.
Detoxing is critical for your safety as you stop using drugs and alcohol. Adverse effects have been known to occur and there is an increased risk of overdosing if you relapse.
Drug and alcohol detox is designed to lessen the severity and duration of withdrawal. Afterward, rehab will help you work through the issues that led to your addiction.
This component is essential to help you build a strong foundation for your recovery moving forward.
