Meet Lisa Stephano
Lisa is a Primary Therapist at Peace Valley Recovery. She is committed to offering evidence-based care based on each client’s unique needs and treatment objectives.
Lisa has a strong clinical background and has worked extensively with individuals with substance abuse, mental health, and dual diagnoses. She is a valuable part of our treatment team because of her dedication to the highest level of care.
Our Treatment Programs
Our clients have individual needs that must be met for their treatment with us to be successful. We focus on outpatient drug and alcohol rehab and offer two levels of care and support.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Clients who are appropriate for our IOP have gone through the detox process and need additional support as they transition back into their everyday lives.
When you attend our IOP, you’ll experience:
- A 3 or 5-day per week program for 3 hours each day.
- Evening programming for those who work or attend school.
- Individual therapy one day per week.
- Group therapy at every appointment.
- Case management services.
Our IOP is flexible, so it’s easy to fit it into your schedule. The support you receive will prepare you for the next stages of the recovery process.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Some clients come to us having completed an inpatient detox and rehab program but need additional support. They may not be prepared for IOP, but are no longer appropriate for residential care.
For those clients, our PHP is often the perfect fit.
Partial hospitalization is highly structured and gives you the added help you need to remain in recovery. Our PHP involves:
- A 5-day per week treatment program for 6 hours each day.
- Group therapy every day.
- 2 individual therapy sessions per week.
Therapy Options
Our therapists are expertly trained in the most effective treatment methods available.
We understand that our clients come from various backgrounds. Each person requires their own unique treatment plan that offers the type of support they need.
When you receive treatment at Peace Valley Recovery, we may recommend any of the following:
- Family therapy
- Co-occurring disorder treatment
- EMDR for trauma
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
- Holistic therapies like music, Yoga, art, and others
Recovery Housing
Some of our clients find it difficult to drive to Peace Valley Recovery for treatment. If commuting for your appointments is a hardship, but you want to be admitted into our program, you have options.
We partner with Candor House, a local sober living home located in Bucks County.
We highly recommend sober living for many of our clients because it gives them the added support they need.
Maybe your home isn’t conducive to your recovery due to others who abuse substances. Or, you may just need some time away from home to help you stay on track.
Either way, sober living is an option that’s available to you to help you be successful.
We Work with Insurance
Peace Valley Recovery accepts clients who need to pay out-of-pocket for treatment as well as those with health insurance.
Addiction recovery can be expensive, which is why we are in-network with many insurance providers. We want to keep the cost of treatment as low as possible for our clients.
You may find that your health insurance provider will cover your outpatient treatment in full.
Talk with our admissions team and have them verify your insurance. They will advise you on your coverage and work hard with your insurance to maximize your benefits.

Elizabeth Area SMART Recovery Meetings
Inpatient Substance Abuse Treatment
Maybe you’ve come across this page in your search for a residential drug and alcohol rehab. If so, there are facilities local to Elizabeth that can help.
Once you stop using drugs and alcohol, detoxing is often recommended. Not only will a quality detox program improve your chances of long-term success, but it will help you quit using safely.
Following detox, inpatient rehab provides a high level of care that most people need during recovery. It will stabilize you and allow you to work through many of the issues that led to your substance abuse problem.
Outpatient Therapy
If PHP and IOP are not right for you, outpatient therapy is another option to consider.
There are therapists in Elizabeth that focus on working with clients with addictions. You may attend appointments 1-3 times per week, depending on how much support you need.
This option is not the best choice for someone who has never had a higher level of care. But if you have good family support at home, and you’ve gone through detox and residential treatment, it is something to consider.
