Michael Parker is the CEO and co-founder of Peace Valley Recovery. Creating Peace Valley has given him the opportunity to combine his talent for team building with his passion for helping others. Mike strives to cultivate an environment that fosters growth and healing, where individuals and families can get well.
Stephen LaBar
Stephen LaBar
A native to the region, Stephen is excited to join the Peace Valley team and give back to his community. Steve has worked in the addiction field since 2014, holding positions as a behavioral health tech, alumni coordinator, and operations manager. Struggling with addiction himself for over 10 years, Steve enjoys using his experience to help others. He prides himself on being able to connect with patients by showing them the same love and care he received. Steve is a US Navy Veteran as well as a Certified Youth Recovery Specialist.
Dr. Elizabeth Drew
Dr. Elizabeth Drew
Dr. Elizabeth Drew graduated from Hahnemann University School of Medicine and completed her family practice residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown PA. In 2005, she opened her family medicine office in Doylestown, and in 2008 she treated her first patient for opiate addiction. Since then Dr. Drew has attained her board certification in Addiction Medicine, treated more than a thousand patients for addiction to opiates and alcohol, participated in programs to educate the community, traveled to Washington DC to educate our legislators, and served as Medical Director at some of the best addiction treatment programs in Pennsylvania. She understands that addiction is a chronic disease that no one would choose to have, and her treatment philosophy is based on respect, compassion, and empowerment. She is excited to be the Medical Director of Peace Valley Recovery and work to provide superior addiction treatment in Bucks County.
Monica Kras
Monica Kras
Monica is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State University and a Master’s degree in Secondary School Counseling from West Chester University. She began working in social welfare after graduation and then shifted her primary focus to mental health and addiction treatment in 2017. Her wide range of experience makes her well-equipped to serve as Clinical Director for Peace Valley Recovery.
Monica dedicates herself to ensuring clients at Peace Valley Recovery receive the care and support they need to develop a strong foundation in recovery. She guides them during their time in treatment, helping them become strong, independent individuals as they learn to normalize sobriety. Her dedication to helping clients heal from addiction is reflected in her intentional approach to providing care.
Kelsey Hall
Kelsey Hall
Kelsey holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Behavioral Health from Alvernia University. After witnessing the devastating impact of addiction on the people close to her while growing up in South Philadelphia, she decided to pursue substance abuse counseling. Kelsey started as a Clinical Aide in a residential inpatient treatment facility, and then transitioned into a role as a Counselor’s Assistant.
Kelsey continued developing her insight and expertise until she finally advanced to a full-time Primary Therapist. Her extensive experience working in all levels of addiction treatment equips her with a deep understanding of how best to heal from substance use disorder. Kelsey is dedicated to making sure each of her clients feels heard and supported so they can receive the treatment and care they deserve.
Megan Clegg
Megan Clegg - Primary Therapist
Megan holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from West Chester University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Widener University. Her clinical specialty is working with individuals that suffer from trauma. She has extensive training, credentials, and certifications for EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy), a crucial tool for helping people work through traumatic experiences.
Megan understands the detrimental impact that severe life stressors can have, and how substance use problems may develop as a result. She is passionate about helping individuals who experienced trauma discover healing and happiness. By working with them to develop healthy perceptions of themselves, Megan knows every person can come to a place of feeling peaceful, complete, whole, and safe.
Lydia Spence
Lydia Spence - Primary Therapist
Lydia holds both a Master’s degree in Social Work from Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social work and is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW). Lydia has extensive clinical experience working in the substance use field providing person-centered strengths-based care and has worked in college counseling and outreach. She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings and is well-versed in the hardships associated with anxiety, depression, self-harm, trauma, and LGBTQ+ issues.
Lydia’s practice is influenced by psychodynamic and strength-based perspectives. She believes in the value of the therapeutic relationship and draws on a variety of modalities unique to each person she works with. Lydia uses an integrated approach to therapy that is both trauma-informed and person-centered to meet each individual where they are in a collaborative, compassionate, and gender affirming environment.
Sara Hawthorne
Sara Hawthorne - Primary Therapist
Sara holds a master’s degree in music therapy from Immaculata University and is a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC). Sara started her career as an Allied Clinical Therapist in an inpatient psychiatric facility, in which she had extensive experience working with individuals with substance use. She found a passion for the substance use field while working at Peace Valley Recovery as a Group Facilitator, and then transitioned into her role as Primary Therapist.
Sara’s practice is influenced by a person-centered and strengths-based foundation. She believes that every client has the capacity for change. Sara values therapeutic relationships and offers a collaborative and holistic approach to therapy. She uses both creative and cognitive modalities that are unique to each person she works with based on their needs. Sara strives to offer a supportive environment in which all her clients can feel safe, welcomed, and understood.
Keeley O’Brien
Keeley O’Brien - Primary Therapist
As a dedicated counselor’s assistant and case manager at Peace Valley Recovery, Keeley brings both personal and academic perspectives to the realm of addiction and recovery. Keeley’s educational journey began at West Virginia University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is currently working diligently towards obtaining her master’s degree and is on a mission to become a licensed professional counselor.
Keeley’s commitment to the field isn’t just academic. She has walked the challenging path of addiction herself, which gives her a profound understanding of the struggles, pain, and hope that many of our clients experience daily. It’s this firsthand experience that allows Keeley to approach counseling with deep empathy, ensuring every client feels genuinely heard and understood.
Keeley believes in the transformative power of guidance, understanding, and support. Together, we can embark on the journey to a brighter, substance-free future.
Mark Cahoon
Mark Cahoon - Primary Therapist
Mark holds a Masters Degree in Addiction Studies from Capella University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Rutgers University in New Brunswick. Mark has worked in substance use treatment for 10 years in a variety of roles, including Behavioral Technician Supervisor, Operations Manager, and Lead Counselor prior to beginning work as a Primary Therapist here at Peace Valley. Mark uses a variety of interventions in helping clients but relies primarily on compassionate, person-centered, strengths-based CBT and DBT as well as helping people develop more awareness of their needs and meeting them in healthy ways.
The 6 years Mark has been in a counseling role have given him a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience regarding the disease of addiction as has his own experience being a recovering person himself. Mark feels that by helping people see themselves in a more affirming light, they can manage any challenge they encounter with more confidence and feel more comfortable in all parts of their lives.

Tina Jacobs - Recovery Support Specialist
Formerly struggling with addiction, Tina found the strength to overcome her challenges and transform her life. Now, she dedicates her time and expertise to helping others in their recovery journey, as a passionate and empathetic treatment professional. Through her own experience, offering support and understanding, while sharing hope to those seeking a path to healing and renewal.
Lanee Epting
Lanee Epting - Case Manager
Lanee has a strong passion for helping others and creates a safe and nonjudgmental space for individuals to share their stories and confront their addictions. Lanee’s own experience with addiction gives her a unique perspective, allowing her to connect with individuals on a profound level. She understands the complex emotions and hurdles that come with recovery, offering both practical guidance and emotional support to her clients.
Doug Turner
Doug Turner - Operations Supervisor
Doug struggled with active addiction for over 20 years before finding hope and healing in recovery. Since February 19, 2016, he has dedicated himself to helping others find the same solution to the struggles of substance abuse that he has found. Doug has a deep understanding of each client’s troubles and shares his experience so they can find strength and hope through his story.
As Doug explains, “There is nothing like watching a client find freedom from active addiction.” His kind and caring demeanor make him a perfect part of the support staff at Peace Valley Recovery. Doug understands the reality of addiction and knows that a life of recovery is possible for everyone.
Diana Dubbs
Diana Dubbs - Director of Business Development
Diana Dubbs has been in the drug and alcohol treatment industry for over 9 years, starting her career in building platforms for sustainable recovery in New Jersey. Throughout her career she has established a strong foundation throughout NJ & Pennsylvania for helping all people, no matter their situation & building strong relationships.
Dubbs is passionate about her work in New Jersey & Pennsylvania, where she helps people rebuild their lives after addiction. It’s a familiar journey for Dubbs, whose own battle with opioids led to a harrowing descent. Her health ravaged by drugs, she was sought by police and lost jobs and homes and her sense of self-worth.
“I covered all the mirrors in my apartment because I hated the person looking back at me,” Dubbs recalls of her active addiction.
She found a path to sobriety through intensive inpatient treatment and immersion in a 12-step recovery program. “Today, I find purpose in leading a healthy and sober life,” Dubbs says. “I have people who trust me and count on me. I have to remain accountable in all aspects of my life, whether I am working my program or just being human.”
